Role purpose
The main objective of the position is to lead the process of ensuring that all Mexico financial reporting is fulfilled to the highest standards, ensuring correct application of policy, appropriate control frameworks are in place and that accounting and reporting risks are identified and mitigated, comply with requirements related to information to be disclosed to the market including press release and financial statements notes.
Main activities
- Review the quality information in compliance with local, international, and internal regulations.
- General coordination of the accounting closing process considering automated controls.
- Establish automated routines to Control and record accounting processes. Perform reconciliations and confirmations in the better approaches.
- Determine the correct application in the system and ensure that it is properly documented and supported.
- Support the Preparation and updating of procedure manuals with data lineage.
Requirements
- Accounting, Management Degree or related
- ETL experience: SAS (ETL), Teradata SQL (ETL), Oracle (ETL)
- Knowledge of Program languages as C, C++, JAVA, SQL
- Experience with Local and international accounting
- Experience dealing with Finance units/ systems/ Regulators.(CUB/CUE)
- Strong Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks, manly regulatory reporting
- Skills: Negotiation, strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with all stakeholders levels, Problem solving, Open minded and change environment
- Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power Point) Proficiency
