Risk & Compliance, a Second Line of Defense (LOD) function, is responsible for the active management of risk and compliance within HSBC, with its scope spanning across all of the Bank's businesses and functions. The Risk & Compliance function supports the business to deliver sustainable and compliant growth by ensuring there is a comprehensive risk management framework in place, with effective governance and corresponding risk management tools for decision-making.

We are currently seeking ambitious individuals to join this team in the role of Risk and Compliance Management Associate.

Principle Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing and embedding the enterprise-wide risk management across the Bank, including maintaining country's Enterprise-wide Risk Management Framework.

• Support on Risk and Compliance related initiatives across all Risk & Compliance function in-country.

• Identify opportunities to enhance productivity and execution across Risk and Compliance, including cost management and variance reporting to ensure high quality support and improved decision making within the Risk & Compliance function and in support of the Businesses.

• Support in establishment and management of change structure and governance including oversee planning, delivery and benefits tracking for Risk-related change projects that span different Risk & Compliance teams, such as Effective Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting.

• Maintain awareness of business, regulatory and market issues, providing support and thought leadership to enhance the Risk & Compliance function.

• Support in management of key regulatory reporting for the Bank and ensure regulatory requirements are fulfilled at all times.

• Improve risk metrics and measurements to enhance effectiveness of Risk strategy initiatives, and ensure accurate documentation and reliable quality control procedures.

• Ensure compliance with all Global Standards in addition to all applicable laws, regulations, compliance and risk policies and procedures.

• Build strong relationships to execute processes at pace in organised ways.

• Collaborate with our key business partners including Finance, Businesses, HR, etc.

• Ensure that the business operates using accepted standard methodologies, practices, processes, and principles.

• Project support: provide support to single or multiple projects and could be assigned a role in project team at working level, support Manager for successful delivery of the project.

• Perform document management: disseminating information, drafting presentations and documents file, documents storage and management.

Qualifications
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Graduate with an undergraduate or post graduate Degree before 2025 in Business Administration, Finance/ Risk Management, Accounting, Banking or equivalent from a recognised university in Vietnam or overseas. Currently hold a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA or overseas equivalent.
• Strong Problem-solving skills. Ability to break down complex problems into small solvable parts and work with agility and resourcefulness to come up with meaningful outcomes.
• Fast learners. You will work with new people on constantly evolving tasks/projects. By quickly becoming an expert in your area and keeping on top of ever-changing markets, you will gain the credibility to succeed.
• Ability to prioritise multiple conflicting demands on time and resources.
• Ability to understand business needs, think critically, and organise unstructured information.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Proficiency in Data Analytics/ Microsoft Office/ Power BI/ Organizational skills.
• Have the legal right to work in Vietnam.
• Be fluent in English and Vietnamese.
