Hang Seng’s Corporate Services is a team of professionals managing nearly 300 properties in Hong Kong used by thousands of staff to support millions of customers. Whether it is a customer entering a branch, or staff collaborating in an office, we can make their experience a positive one.
 
Working closely with the businesses partners and external vendors, the team covers a wide range of corporate services functions including planning, acquisition, design, construction/fitting out, asset management, facilities management and administration of Hang Seng’s operational and investment real estate portfolio. The team also provides collateral appraisal services to internal business users and asset management services to external customers.

Facilities Management Department, as a key department under Corporate Services, is responsible for ensuring the reliability of the building and critical facilities of the bank with professional management services to meet business and operational requirements.
 
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our department as Head of Facilities Management.

 

Principal responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Head of Corporate Services, the role is responsible for managing and working in partnership with the global outsourced service provider for the delivery and operation of Facilities Management (FM) within Hang Seng to ensure building availability, safety, regulatory compliance and system reliability to avoid operational interruption and business loss. Oversight on Service Level Agreement (SLA), KPIs and reporting to ensure performance of the service provider.
  • Provide professional advice and recommendations as an FM subject matter expert on building operation, incident management, service level enhancements and asset management strategies.
  • Identify opportunities and drive for improvements and implementation of best in class practices. Appropriately balances service, risk and cost considerations in the management and delivery of FM.
  • Optimise Critical Facilities (CF) investments and integrates CF planning, processes and delivery to meet current and future business requirements, codes and regulations. Oversees and drives execution of Global Standard CF Protocols within Hang Seng.
  • Budget planning, review and recommend actions on proposed property expenditure for FM and CF builds, expansions and upgrades.
  • Support and drive green initiatives of the bank in line with company strategy.
  • Work closely with Capital Projects, Asset Management, Health and Safety, Security Risks, IT teams, etc. on policy settings and projects to ensure effective design and necessary FM support to maintain building operations, support business growth and mitigate risks.
  • Engage with senior management, businesses and users for feedback and relationship building.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Professional Members in either Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Commerce or Business or equivalent
  • Comprehensive industry experience in Corporate Real Estate Services sector
  • Experience in leading a services team – essential

 

Requirements

  • University graduate and relevant professional qualification in real estate, ideally in a Facilities Management, Engineering or related discipline with over 10 years’ relevant experience.
  • A comprehensive understanding of a broad range of facilities management and critical facilities activities and issues faced by large corporates.
  • Experience in managing service providers and SLA.
  • Demonstrated results in managing facilities management and critical facilities activities within an equivalent portfolio / major corporate environment.
  • Proven ability and commitment to high standards of customer service and customer relationship management.
  • Demonstrated results in delivering successful risk management and control processes across multiple functions.
  • Proven ability to prioritise competing demands and handle ambiguity or conflicts.
  • Excellent interpersonal and people management skills.
  • Strong organisational, planning and project management skills.
  • Consultative and client-centric approach in service delivery, supported by strong problem solving skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to grasp, understand and independently handle new and existing projects and ideas.
  • Sound business and commercial awareness.
  • A high degree of professionalism and tact in handling sensitive situations.
