Internal Wholesale & Strategy Execution – Asset Management

HSBC Asset Management (AM), the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC’s worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. HSBC Asset Management fulfils its purpose of connecting HSBC’s clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team in an internal client facing role within our Wholesale Asset Management business.
In this role you will:
- Work in close partnership with the Head of Internal Wholesale Strategy & Execution to refine and embed the new strategy to enhanced coverage of opportunities with the internal Global Private Banking & Wealth (GPB&W) channel.
- Collaborate with other internal businesses to build effective relationships that allow of actively sharing of ideas and information to improve commercial outcomes.
- Source insightful market data and other business intelligence to identify key product trends and market developments and use that data to prepare key presentations and reports / papers and other content for use by senior leaders.
- Support on strategy definition & execution i.e. operating model, transformations required and provide input on product ideation and the identification of strategic priorities that span local and global internal wholesale teams.
- Responsible for coordinating with the Sustainability Office, Responsible Investments and Internal Wholesale teams on ESG focused sales campaigns and product ideation for GPB&W.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Experience of Asset Management or similar wealth management structures gained from working in a large complex financial services business
- Have a good commercial knowledge base with the ability to understand and interpret financial information in relation to developing and executing sales strategies.
- Possess advanced relationship management skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and engender a ‘trusted advisor’ status.
- Well-developed analytical skills, capacity to process high volumes of complex information and synthesise key themes and issues and make valid recommendations.
- Demonstrates cultural awareness then collaborating with colleagues in other international regions.
This role is based in HSBC office at 8 Canada Square London you should be able to travel to London on a weekly basis.
