We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Delivery Head

In this role, you will:

  • This is a combination of Delivery + Devops Lead role. In this role, the candidate will be accountable for  the End to End delivery of key initiatives for the service and also Lead the DevSecOps practices for the connect digital team.
  • Participate in architecture, design and engineering reviews and Provide architectural and engineering direction to technology teams.  
  • Be involved in reviewing the solutions and hotfixes provided by Seeburger. Evaluate the implementation risks and assist in making appropriate decisions.
  • Be the face of HSBC engagement with Seeburger team and support the HSBC teams in technical discussions with product. Have information of the latest developments in Seeburger product and understand its impact on HSBC implementations.
  • Stakeholder management : Be the engineering face of the Connect Digital team for wider stakeholders.
  • Proactively evaluate and assess the gaps in existing DevOps practices and develop and deliver roadmap for fixing the gaps.
  • Work with engineering and testing teams across all components and drive the DevOps practices.
  • Have a deep understanding of the existing applications, understand the limitations, prepare strategies for tools adoption and drive them for implementation.
  • Represent Connect Digital in wider engineering forums and initiatives.
  • Identify critical technical/performance problems and work on providing solutions to meet the business needs.
  • Liaise with all technical leads and work on proactive improvements of systems and processes.
  • Provide guidance and direction on best practices to be adopted by all team members.
  • Host knowledge sessions for team members on various technologies and tools to be adopted by the teams.
Requirements

 To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Min. 18-20 years in IT with 6+ years in Banking and Financial Services domain.
  • Leading deliveries in highly complex large enterprises
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of HSBC Connect or similar other payment processing systems.
  • Technically strong in Java , Spring Frameworks and Oracle SQL, GCP/AWS cloud solutions
  • Focus on continuous improvement and reduce technical debt.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and understand their requirements and deliveries.
  • Understanding of Product -See burger is an advantage
  • Represent the team in various internal and external audits.
  • Exposure to variety of tools and products on DevOps adoption and guide the team to select the right tools in the existing environment.
