We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Business Manager: CoE

Principal responsibilities

  • The purpose of this role is to lead the Global Finance Centre of Excellence (CoE) Projects team. The Lead Business Manager is responsible for providing dedicated, forward thinking, operational and business management support.
  • The role delivers on projects to support the Global Finance CAO and overall Global finance COO function to support finance in their goals and priorities including organisational design, people risk management, service management, policy and financial management. 
  • Drive projects that design and deliver strategic tooling and processes covered by the Global Finance Centre of Excellence (CoE) target operating model, ensuring a consistent centralised view and adapting best practices to support Global Finance COOs.
  • Responsible for the planning and execution of projects, adoption of tooling to deliver the team’s objectives in line with strategy
  • Provide strong leadership across the Global Finance CoE projects team which is responsible for the following activities;
  • Implement and manage tooling for streamlined COO support across costs and headcount management,
  • Review CoE processes, lessons learned and identify opportunities for improvements through process re-design, simplification or automation
  • Define and standardise global processes, develop SOPs and embed them into BAU
  • Identify, define and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance and streamline operational management activities to deliver on financial, people or efficiency goals
  • Drive the implementation of the target operating model for Global Finance CoE teams
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to drive cost reduction, resulting in sustainable saves and achievement of Global Finance cost targets

Requirements
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management and influencing skills, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels
  • Focused on orchestrating the strategic change agenda and driving tangible outcomes
  • Team work and the ability to get things done within deadlines
  • The ability to quickly understand customer requirements and concerns along with attention to detail
  • Persuasion and negotiation skills. Setting high goals for self and team and delivering them with courage and tenacity. Willingness to experiment, fail fast and re-try
  • Certifications – Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking, Agile 
  • Exceptional drive and commitment, ability to work and thrive in a fast-changing and results-driven environment, and proven ability in handling competing priorities
  • Proven ability to prioritise workload effectively in line with business priorities
  • Willingness to own work and problems and see through to completion and to use own initiative to resolve issues, whilst dealing with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Experience in applying technologies, automation / digital tools or analytics an advantage
