We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Digital Product Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Product Vision and Strategy:
    • Define and articulate the long-term vision and strategy for PayMe for Business, ensuring alignment with PayMe overall business objectives and market trends in digital payments
    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation
    • Develop and maintain a product roadmap that prioritizes features and enhancements based on customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility
  • Customer-Centric Development:
    • Engage with business customers (e.g., small businesses, corportates, and e-commerce merchants) to understand their pain points, needs, and preferences for payment solutions
    • Translate customer insights into clear product requirements details and user stories mapping to guide development
    • Champion a user-centric approach, ensuring PayMe for Business delivers intuitive onboarding, payment acceptance, seamless integrations (e.g. with POS systems, e-commerce platforms), and robust value added tools towards merchants and customers
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with engineering and design teams to oversee the development process, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features and integrations
    • Work closely with marketing and merchant growth teams to define go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and promotional campaigns that drive adoption among businesses
    • Collaborate with compliance and risk teams to ensure PayMe for Business adheres to regulatory requirements and maintains robust security standards
  • Feature Prioritization and Backlog Management:
    • Prioritize product features and enhancements by balancing customer value, business impact, and technical constraints
    • Manage the product backlog, ensuring clarity and alignment with stakeholders on deliverables and timelines
    • Make data-driven decisions using qualitative feedback (e.g., customer interviews) and quantitative metrics (e.g., transaction volume, churn rates, adoption rates)
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
    • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for PayMe for Business, such as merchant acquisition, transaction growth, and customer satisfaction (rNPS and jNPS)
    • Analyze product usage data and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and iterate on features
    • Conduct post-launch evaluations to assess feature success and inform future roadmap decisions
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for PayMe for Business, communicating product vision, progress, and outcomes to internal stakeholders and external partners
    • Present business cases and product updates to leadership to secure buy-in and resources for new initiatives
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of product management experience, preferably in fintech, payments, or e-commerce industries
  • Proven track record of launching and managing digital products, ideally with a focus on B2B or merchant-facing solutions
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in agile development environments (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
  • Familiarity with payment processing, digital wallets, or financial services is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of UX design principles to enhance merchant and customer CLCM
  • Prior success in driving merchant adoption or transaction volume growth in a payment product

Skills and Competencies:

  • Technical Acumen: Understanding of payment systems, APIs, and integrations
  • Analytical Thinking: Proficiency in data analysis to drive decision-making, using tools like Tableau and Databricks
  • Customer Focus: Ability to empathize with business customers and translate their needs into actionable product features
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences, from developers to executives
  • Leadership: Strong ability to lead without direct authority, influencing cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals
  • Project Management: Experience with product management tools (e.g., Jira) and agile methodologies to manage timelines and deliverables
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Basic understanding of compliance requirements in the payments industry
