Wealth and Personal Banking is our new global business combining Retail Banking and Wealth Management; and Global Private Banking, to become one of the world’s largest global wealth managers with USD1.4 trillion in assets. We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Premier Business Development Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Business Development Manager for our Premier Offshore market to achieve acquisition objectives
  • Responsible for but not limited to self-sourcing of new customers, managing and growing relationships for acquisition and referrals of new customers for offshore banking platform
  • Achieve agreed financial expectations on qualified client growth for HSBC International Premier clients
  • Expand external network to maximize client growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with HSBC locally and regionally to increase cross business and cross border referrals by engaging intragroup partners on a regular basis for top-of-mind awareness
  • Manage and grow internal and external partnerships
  • Develop relationships with Leads Generator (LG) to grow external referrals in Singapore and approved markets
  • Responsible for onboarding of LGs in adherence to HSBC governance and control framework
  • Develop, execute and participation in client growth strategies, events and campaigns. Monitor and tracking results of campaigns/activities for replicating successes and learnings
  • Engage prospects to share on HSBC Premier International Proposition and Marketing promotions
  • Provide support and guidance to prospects on account opening journey and address any enquiries in relation to account opening
  • Attend to prospects that may come to bank from various channels which include but does not limit to walk in, PWS, contact centre and intra-group channels
  • Ensure adherence to Anti-Money Laundering guidelines and proper conduct
  • Ensure full compliance to onboarding guidelines and regulatory requirements including KYC, account opening and tools; end to end processes until warm hand over to RM
  • Support customers with needs-based banking solutions to meet customers' short- and long-term financial banking needs, getting customers to be digital ready
  • Direct prospects to WCO/IBC/Onboarding specialists for account opening wherever applicable
  • Work closely with IBC/Onboarding specialists to ensure smooth account opening
  • Drive clients’ wealth and digital readiness with tight engagements to encourage early funding and Internet/Mobile Banking registration
  • Fulfil clients’ needs by making adequate referrals to intra-group for specific products or services
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree holder with relevant experience or equivalent experience in a retail banking environment
  • Driven with proven track record in sales related industry. Experience in financial related industry will be an added advantage
  • Experience in engaging high net worth and/or international clients
  • Strong sales orientation, networking and prospecting skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and under minimal supervision
  • Ability to speak multiple languages will be a plus
