We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Product Analytics Manager.
Principal Responsibilities
In this role you will
- Provide support in delivering the financial and business analyses for managing the product portfolio of the company, which involves all line of life products including universal life, participating products, non-participating products and ILAS products
- Assist in business profitability analysis and in depth product review/analysis. Conduct quantitative analyses for monitoring and management decision making
- Engage and work closely with other departments on special projects (e.g. ad hoc data analysis, reports production, internal and external audits, strategic or technical reviews etc.)
- Initiate system implementations for continued enhancements of productivity, processes and controls. Ensure compliance with Group and Local governance policies on BAU activities
- Actively working with Actuarial and Reinsurers to deliver competitive product solutions which fit the company’s product strategy
- Lead both internally and externally regarding reinsurance treaty negotiation. Conduct reinsurance payment process and also financial reporting tasks
- Maintain reinsurance system and carry out necessary monitoring to ensure integrity of payments
- Contribute product centric view needed to formulate a firm-wide reinsurance strategy
To be successful you will need
- University graduate or above, major in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics
- Good progress in actuarial exams of a recognized actuarial organizations
- Prior experience from life insurance/reinsurance industry highly preferred
- Experience in actuarial field, such as pricing, valuation, reporting, reinsurance is preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly MS Excel for working with large volume of data required; knowledge of SQL is an advantage
- Be a self-motivated, pro-active self-starter with the ability and attributes to act and perform with minimal direction or instruction
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders from various departments
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese
