We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of  Delivery Head.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage programme strategy and the programme approach for the cenetre of innovation programme, which joint between HSBC, Microsoft, and other technical partners in Inida to co-build the industry lead solutions and patterns in the Low Code No Code platform.Assist business stakeholders with the decomposition of complex business requirements into Epics and User Stories that can be delivered by Technology teams via respective backlogs with minimum cross product co-ordination.
  • Define and create effective programme and sprint plans using group standard tools, with the commitment and buy in from all team members. Delivery, governance & reporting to stakeholders including the Product owner in the business, head of a service line or Product within Technology. Produce effective programme progress reports to keep management apprised of project status, major issues, scope changes, resource changes and milestone achievements or misses.
  • Lead, facilitate and chair regular project meetings and follow up with team members as required to focus on business and operational issues or technical issues, documenting, assigning and monitoring all project issues to ensure clearance with minimal impact to project progress.  Provide input to Steering Committee Meeting. Ensure that problems are managed at their level, and escalated efficiently with senior management and keep the minimum disruption to the business. Adopt and share standards, tools, best practices, principles for cost, quality and productivity improvement.
  • Drive the use of Agile methodologies within Technology teams (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Lean) in line with corresponding transformation frameworks at the bank. Ensure Technology programmes align to HSBC strategies and contribute to towards achieving strategic aims. Maintain effective and good relationship between the business and the IT Project team, managing appropriate business expectations and negotiating compromise where appropriate.
  • Ensuring that all Technology practices and associated tools are being adopted and adhered to within the Programme. Manage programme budgets, including headcount and software delivery capitalisation. Manage negotiation with and management of, and service agreement monitoring of third party contracts with Technology suppliers. Maintain good exposure and develop knowledge in new techniques, products, services, technologies and standards.
  • Manage the development and promotion of the technology portfolio and project management practices. Work across business and technology to establish effective controls, procedures and quality assurance processes for the product in line with the Business Transformation Framework and HSBC Risk and Controls framework.Develop a good level of understanding of the appropriate business systems of the Group and their associated IT project management requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  •  University degree in computer science, information technology or a related discipline. Expert level of work experience in the financial industry, with the majority of which has been gained in managing large scale programme or projects such as system development, implementation, business process re-engineering, system integration or operation support.
  • Proven track record in delivering innovation projects to business pain points, preferably platform migration program to migrate legacy platforms to cloud native solutions.
  • In-depth understanding of the paradigm shift from nationwide operating model to global target operating model and drive Commercial Banking business to adapt to it. Managed change management projects and teams for tier 1 financial services organization   Experience to liaise with all relevant parties in IT Business and work with senior business stakeholders.
  • Strong Leadership skill to drive the business forward, managing matrix project teams both regionally and globally, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team or on an individual basis.
  • Solid agile project management skills, CI, DevOps and Automated Testing PMP and Agile SCRUM certification would be an advantage. Familiarity with the HSBC standards and processes would be useful. Good understanding of IT systems functioning in general.  Exposure to technologies such as Cloud infrastructure like Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform would be an advantage. Commercial acumen and good risk management and mitigation skills.
