We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Qlik Sense Developer

 

Role Purpose:

Wholesale Chief Data, Analytics and CRM (WDAC) provides data utilization for the wholesale business servicing Commercial Banking (CMB), Global Banking (GB) and Market & Securities Services (MSS). WDAC is a key driver in building the bank of the future by streamlining operations, transforming legacy processes, and commercializing insights into actionable outcomes. WDAC is responsible for ensuring that the data we capture, and use is captured accurately within HSBC systems i.e. Smart Serve, Staff Front End / Master Data Management (SFE / MDM), Head Office Reporting and Information System (HORIS), Customer Management Experience (CME), etc.

We are seeking a highly skilled Qlik Sense Developer to join our dynamic team and manage a team of Qlik developers in the Mexico Center of Excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data visualization, data modelling, and ETL processes. This role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining Qlik Sense applications to support critical business decisions.

Main Activities:

Qlik Sense Development:

Design, develop, and maintain Qlik Sense applications to meet complex business requirements.

Create interactive dashboards, charts, and reports using Qlik Sense's powerful visualization capabilities.

Optimize Qlik Sense applications for performance and scalability.

Collaborate with business users to understand their needs and translate them into effective data visualizations.

Data Modelling:

  • Develop robust data models and logical data warehouses to support Qlik Sense applications.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the data pipeline.
  • Optimize data loading and retrieval processes for efficient performance.
  • Extract, Transform and Load Processes:
  • Design and implement efficient ETL pipelines using tools like Alteryx, SQL or other ETL software.
  • Extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Qlik Sense applications.
Requirements

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Qlik Sense development, including Qlik Script, data modelling, and visualization techniques.
  • Experience with ETL tools like Alteryx or similar software.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database management systems.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Understanding of data governance and data quality principles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Qlik Sense development preferred.
