Group Chief Operating Office (GCOO) is a critical capability for the Group comprising Business COO, Operations, Procurement and Real Estate, Business Risk & Resilience including (Business Continuity, Protective Security, Non-Financial Risk, and ServCo) and Change Execution. GCOO is the execution engine of the Group. As well as managing & controlling the business, the GCOO organisation enables business strategy through transformation and optimises operational efficiency.

GCOO Change Execution is critical in leading the implementation of GCOO’s most significant, large scale, complex strategic and regulatory programmes and ensuring successful delivery of cross-business change initiatives. These are typically cross value stream enablers or global, common solutions required across businesses. 

In this role, you will be responsible for tracking the Bank’s adherence to regulatory compliance standards, assist in Regulatory remediation activity for the business, engage in the Interpretation of regulations, anticipating key problems and deriving solutions. In this position you will be assisting the Head of Regulatory Development through complex regulatory change programs and will support the implementation of all regulatory changes affecting the business.

Duties & Responsibilities:
•    Responsible for delivering significant change which improves business effectiveness in sustainable ways
•    Experience motivating others to deliver exceptional performance and long terms results
•    A flexible and adaptable management style with experience of developing yourself and others
•    Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
•    Proficient Microsoft Excel knowledge including complex Pivots and flowchart management
•    Build effective networks both internally and externally and created opportunities for others to work collaboratively 
•    Effectively deal with highly complex commercial information and business challenges to create strategic business plans which effectively deliver results
•    A successful track record of leading significant and complex business programmes, overcoming challenges to consistently meet/exceed objectives

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications:
•    Bachelors Degree is essential
•    Well-developed leadership and project Management skills
•    Detailed knowledge of how the organization fits together and the ability to mobilize established networks to get things done
•    The ability to drive the agenda, influence and communicate at all levels of the organization
•    A good understanding of financial services products 
•    A sound regulatory knowledge (or the ability to build and understand)
•    Drive to be a self-starter, comfortable working with concepts, ambiguity and on their own initiative.
•    Broad experience of major programme management techniques 
•    Excellent stakeholder management skills
