The value you’ll add:

 

As an integral member of our Compliance team, you’ll be a collaborative partner and value-added business contributor.  Reporting directly into the Head of Compliance you’ll support HSBC Innovation Banking business develop capabilities, analyse and manage regulatory change as well as engage positively with regulatory bodies.

 

 

 

What you can expect to be doing:

 

Managing the regulatory developments lifecycle with confidence and autonomy, including analysing regulatory developments, identifying, and engaging with the relevant stakeholders to support the business with implementation.

 

Engaging with stakeholders across the business to ensure a comprehensive record of regulatory obligations exists, which are tracked and escalated as required.

 

Submitting regulatory returns and management of the reporting schedule for the UK business.

Working together as the Regulatory Affairs team to develop capabilities and knowledge of the business and macroeconomic opportunities.

Provide written and verbal briefings to stakeholders across the business, Group, ExCo and Board level.

 

Keep up to date and informed on internal and external risks and opportunities, approaches, policies, and procedures.

Developing relationships across the business and the wider HSBC Group to share relevant information, support the business and senior management in understanding their regulatory responsibilities, highlighting opportunities, drafting, and presenting analysis at relevant governance forums.   

Requirements

Requirements:

Subject matter expertise within regulatory affairs gained in a Compliance function within a banking/financial services environment.

 

Strong judgement and critical thinking skills with an ability to synthesize complex information effectively.

 

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail. The ability to work independently and challenge effectively.

 

Strong prioritisation and workflow management skills  

 

Proven relationship building skills.
