We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.
Business: Finance and Traded Risk Tech
Principal responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies of new and modified business requirement.
- Provide technical analysis and implement technical solutions to business issues. And maintains awareness of business technology strategies.
- Participate in full software development life cycle to deliver business and technical projects.
- Responsible for daily production operations and managing production incident recovery and follow-up problem management.
- Ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies.
- Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
Requirements
- A university graduate with a degree in computer science, IT or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years' IT software development experience, preferably with Java experience of backend application development.
- Self-motivated and willing to learn new technologies and business domain.
- Good communication in English is required to work with global team.
- Hand-on Java, Spring, PostgreSQL, Unix shell technologies and in particular Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, SPARK and Micro Services.
- Development Management Tools - Agile Toolsets, e.g. Confluence / Jira / GitHub.
- Experienced with RESTful API design and development or Python is an advantage.
- Experienced in container technology such as Kubernetes is an advantage.
- Experienced in CI/CD design and implementation such as Jenkins pipeline is an advantage.
- Knowledge on data warehouse or OLAP is an advantage.
- Experience in Information Technology, typically focused on software application design, development and support.
- Knowledge and experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Knowledge and experience in Agile and DevOps development practices, hands on DevOps tooling experience such as Jenkins, Ansible.
