We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineering Manager.

 

Business: Markets & Sec Services IT

 

Principal responsibilities

  • Leading in working across the Technology delivery lifecycle including inception, construction, testing, release and ongoing management of a product or service in a pod within a Technology team.
  • Establish a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high-quality code and data. Apply innovation and creativity to automate manual tasks.
  • Mentoring and provide guidance to team for building technical competent solutions.
  • Working with other Full Stack Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, operator intervention, alerting, design defect related issues, etc.) are identified and addressed at all stages of a product or service release / change.
  • Create technical test plans and records, including unit and integration tests, within automated test environments to ensure code quality
  • The role is responsible to undertake activities on system level design and development, deployment (CTB) of the code, testing and deployment as well as support the production processing (RTB).
  • Be involved in actual implementation of solutions, performing impact assessments, performance tuning, testing and deployments throughout the delivery cycle. Utilize the technical skills and expertise to carry out /help team to do software development, testing and operational support activities with the ability to move between these from time to time according to demand.
  • Liaise with other engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand and drive the product or service’s direction.
  • Create robust CI-CD pipelines with all security aspects to meet requirements,
  • Enabling automated test environments to ensure code quality aspect.
  • Work closely with the other support teams, collaborate with vendor consultants at times with a strong customer focus and end to end journeys
  • Ensure the service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered. Actively participate in and drive the mandatory exercises from time to time on resilience, recovery, and service management. Support on-call and work in Shifts as per the agreed plans when required.
  • Responsible for automating the continuous integration / continuous delivery pipeline within a DevOps Product/Service team driving a culture of continuous improvement. Also, should be aware of the various code scanning findings and provide meaningful remediation solutions.
  • Keep up to date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc. that are applicable
Requirements
  • Ability to translate business level requirements to system level components or blocks
  • Ability to review the deliverables from other team members
  • Ability to understand the vulnerabilities and subsequent patching for infrastructure
  • Ability to work in diverse global teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of modern development technologies and tools such Agile, CI/CD, Git, Terraform and Jenkins
  • Candidate will be required to continually enhance the skills within several specialisms which include gaining business knowledge, vendor product understanding, Impact Assessments, Development, Code Scanning and Deployments along with operational / business support.
  • Ability to understand the code scanning reports, vulnerabilities and subsequent patching for infrastructure.
