Our Technology teams work closely with HSBC’s Global Businesses to design, build and run digital services that allow millions of our customers around the world to bank quickly, simply and securely. We run and manage our Technology infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank, with one of the largest technology estates in the industry.

 

 We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Technology team in the role Senior Technology Manager.

 

Principal Responsibilities: 

 

The team look after Markets and Securities Services (MSS) business and functions. Supporting various MSS systems like trading, payment, operation and regulatory etc system.

 

The main functions of the team are to: 

  • Work closely with business, Global/Regional team, vendor to recommend/provide robust/innovative system solutions to meet business needs within schedule and budget allocated.
  • Manage Global/Regional system implementation to Malaysia.
  • Manage delivery of system changes and maintain business expectation.
  • Ensure high system availability of all technology services and continuously improved production quality.
  • Support business in system incidents of varying complexity to ensure business operation continue to run. 
  • Manage the service quality issues to ensure high service availability.
  • Ensure compliance of Group guideline and country regulation for all technology implementations.
  • Manage Technology Financial charges.
  • Work closely with business, local regulators, Global/Regional Technology teams and 3rd party vendors. 
Requirements
  • Possess a recognized tertiary degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • At least 10 to 15 years working experinece in system/business analyst and project management.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, system implementation and business support.
  • Possess strong system analysis, problem analysis and solving skills.
  • Experience / knowledge in MSS related applications and support, system analysis and project management is an added advantage.
  • A wide knowledge of hardware, software, operations and emerging technologies.
  • Working experience in Phyton, automation tools or banking/financial applications is an added advantage.
  • Able to work under pressure and possible long working hours.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and a good team player.
