Reporting to the Chief Distribution Officer, this role will plan, direct and implement the customer proposition, distribution and sales management strategies to maximize business growth and enhance customer satisfaction for the business.

In this role, you will:
Impact on the Business/Function:
Lead and conduct a full review of Insurance Distribution performance and trajectory against current year plan and future opportunities. Develop and deliver an execution plan, focused on sales management, performance, incorporating both strategic and tactical actions to deliver significant improvement in sales performance and close the opportunity gap
Customers / Stakeholders:
As this is a role within a manufacture that relies on its distribution partners, the individual in this role will be required to influence, manage and build strong relationships with the Sales and Distribution Team counterparts in Global Businesses and Insurance itself to be successful.
Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets

Individuals are responsible for the work of other affiliated managers.
Manage the processes, infrastructure and resources needed to deliver agreed team plans and targets, identifying and implementing improvements and collaborating with colleagues to maximise end to end integration, effectiveness and efficiency.
Maintain a robust and efficient control environment to ensure good operational, financial and project management and compliance with HSBC policy and procedures, together with early identification and effective resolution or escalation of issues that arise.
Contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of a management information, analysis and reporting framework that supports and informs timely and effective business management and decision making at all levels.
Implement and monitor the application of policies, governance frameworks, procedures, practices and standards to ensure quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
10 years and above working experience in Life Insurance, prefer to be experienced in front line sales.
5 years+ independent people management experience
Possess the ability to apply entrepreneurial and commercial thinking to delivering business performance
Possess strategic thinking capability
Commercially-minded with strong business acumen
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English & Chinese – must be able to communicate effectively both internally with Group executives and teams and externally with customers
Excellent interpersonal skills – excellent customer relationship management
Excellent judgment and decision-making skills – able to make business-aligned and timely decisions
