We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Software Engineering.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

• Provide extensive experience in designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing of significant applications, with a strong emphasis on digital wallet, multiple currency card, foreign exchange and payments in cutting-edge technology and considerable experience in leadership
• Continuously contribute to code and review other's code for best practice
• Write and own standards, define product change strategies and to reach identified visions
• Responsible for automating the continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline within a DevOps product/service team
• Provide Subject Matter Expertise in an area such as: devOps, security, accessibility, agile, production governance
• Break down a programme of work into manageable deliveries and step into the Production Support Management (PSM) role
• Remove impediments to team's productivity and direct collaboration with Product Owners without the involvement of intermediary roles such as architects, technical leads, business analysts, scrum master and project managers
• Preferred experiences on mobile payments (e.g. Apple Pay, Google Pay)
• Develop business cases benefits of addressing technical debt / platform improvement
• Create and contribute to solutions designs and make judgement calls about adoption of tech debt
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as product, fraud, cybersecurity, compliance) to enhance digital wallet features and product features
• Communicate clearly, acting as liaison between engineering teams and senior management, translating technical details into business strategies
• Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered
• Provide value during production incidents even for things that they have not necessarily been involved in coding and Chair retros across different teams

To be successful you will need

• University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline
• Experience in designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing digital wallet applications is an advantage
• Experience collaborating effectively across multiple engineering centers in multiple territories
• Be an ambassador for writing testable code and and gatekeeper for definition of done
• Track record in working on the delivery of complex deployment projects and under diversified/ matrix structure
• Strong business sense with good understanding in how IT systems impact business objectives
• Strong communication, presentation & influencing skills, able to operate well across cultures and in multi-cultural, diverse work environments
• Strong analytical, design and problem-solving skills
• Excellent team player with ability to work under minimal supervision
• Able to work at flexible hour for late evening meeting with colleagues in various regions, deployment & production support
• Demonstrated ability to assess Technology / Mobile Payment trends at market level
• Willing to learn/explore new technologies especially in mobile payments domain
• Subject Matter Expertise in an area such as: devOps, security, accessibility, agile, production governance etc
• Knowledge or experience to Android / iOS Engineer
• Knowledge and experience of DevOps, Microservice, Restful API, Agile concepts and tooling such as Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Splunk, Jira/Confluence, AppD, Docker, Kubernetes
