We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Software Engineering Manager.

 

Business: Markets & Sec Services IT 

 

Principal responsibilities

  • Lead DevOps pod team and coach / mentor the others (most are engineers).
  • Provide sustainable solutions and make sure the software delivery with quality, reusability, scalability and supportability.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and process automation to improve quality and efficiency of software development.
  • Drive the best practice in the whole delivery life cycle;
  • Provide production support and troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
  • Understand and drive target architecture.
  • Ensure systems comply with group infrastructure and security policies and standards.
Requirements
  • Sound experience in developing and implementing software solutions
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in Agile project development and management framework.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills.
  • Strong infrastructure and software architect concept to understand comprehensive system topology
  • Solid knowledge on Java, distributed system design and implementation (micro service, service mesh,etc);
  • Familiar with database (Oracle, PostgreSQL). Middleware (Liberty, Apache, MQ, etc);
  • In deployment, monitoring and operations, such as Prometheus, Splunk, ElasticSearch, Grafana;
  • Experience in automated deployment, release management and the tools used, e.g. Jenkins, Ansible;
  • Highly motivated and be able to work independently, under pressure and proactively in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to liase with other development teams, architects, and other stakeholders to drive the delivery;
  • Strong technical leadership skill;
  • Proficient in English with strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
