We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Sr. Associate Director, Software Engineering.

Principal responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of mobile engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to prioritize and define the mobile product roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of new features and enhancements.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of mobile applications, ensuring adherence to best practices in mobile architecture and development.
  • Ensure the stability and performance of mobile applications, implementing effective monitoring and support processes.
  • Stay current with the latest mobile technology trends, tools, and frameworks, with a particular focus on cloud-based solutions and microservices architecture.
  • Manage and oversee mobile development projects of varying sizes, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration with global teams to ensure cohesive development practices and strategic decision-making.
  • Promote a culture of experimentation and innovation within the mobile engineering team, encouraging the exploration of new technologies and methodologies.
  • Drive the adoption of agile development practices and DevOps principles within the mobile engineering team.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on mobile application development and engineering leadership.
  • Proficient in mobile development frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter, iOS, Android) and a solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns.
  • Experience with cloud technologies and microservices architecture, with a focus on scalability and performance.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing and developing high-performing engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
  • Familiarity with agile software delivery practices and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • HSBC platform HUB working experience is a plus.
