We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.

 In this role, you will:

As part of ISO20022, MENAT pod, we are seeking a skilled Payments Test Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of payment systems, specifically ISO 20022, and demonstrate expertise in both functional and automation testing. Proven experience in CBPR+ ISO20022 and Domestic RTGS ISO20022 roll out is a plus. The Candidate should have hands on experience on Agile Methodology and ALM JIRA tool.

  • Payment System Testing: Conduct comprehensive testing of payment systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 20022 standards.
  • Functional Testing & End to End Testing: Develop and execute functional test cases to validate payment processing functionalities, identifying and documenting defects as needed.
  • Automation Testing: Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts to enhance efficiency and coverage of payment system testing using TOSCA automation tool.
  • Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand payment system requirements, ensuring accurate and thorough test coverage.
  • Defect Management: Track and manage defects through their lifecycle, providing detailed reports and collaborating with development teams for resolution.
  • Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to validate the stability of payment system enhancements and updates
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of testing processes.  
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • 3-5 year minimum Automation and  testing experience in payments domain
  • Good understanding of the Payment schemes and e2e flows for domestic & Cross Border payments scheme at least for one or 2 countries.
  • Sound of understanding of payment formats such as ISO20022(HVPS, CBPR+), SWIFT MT standards for ASP & Europe region
  • Strong knowledge of functional testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and SCRUM best practices.
  • Strong knowledge in automation testing tools, such as TOSCA, Selenium or equivalent.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills Understand dynamics of HSBC working environment and navigate through for successful delivery of projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (in science, computers, information technology or engineering)

  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation of complex information and data).
  • Time management 
  • Ability to work with virtual & matrix global teams  
  • Good analytical skills supported by Strong decision making and problem solving skills & attitude
