Global Markets is part of our HSBC Corporate and Institutional Banking division, a markets-led, financing-focused business that provides investment and financial solutions. We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Transactional FX Solutions Specialist, APAC.

Principal Responsibilities

Work with the existing regional and global Transactional FX (TFX) team to effectively execute a growth strategy in Transactional FX volumes across the APAC region. Driving volume, profitability and strategy awareness through client acquisition, marketing, and relationship management (internal & external) efforts.

In this role you will

  • Solution specialist for TFX related interaction:  interface with and be the TFX subject matter expert to key product stakeholders within Corporate & Institutional Banking, Commercial Banking and Global Payments Solutions (GPS) to drive product awareness and build a healthy client pipeline
  • Assist with the design and implementation of the architectural landscape in APAC
  • Assist with on-boarding efforts for mandated Transactional FX opportunities
  • Help to define and provide input the regional sales strategy for transactional FX in the APAC
  • Drive internal stakeholder product awareness of TFX solutions to generate internally lead client acquisition
  • Work with existing GPS & GFX sales teams, originate new TFX client relationships and increase market share
  • Help to achieve increased wallet share and client satisfaction for existing TFX client relationships
  • Coordinate with global counterparts to ensure strategy is synergised and effectively executed across the region
Requirements

To be successful you will need

  • Comfortable in a start-up environment, pragmatic, proactive, entrepreneurial
  • Ideally good understanding of FX, Payments, APIs and related technology
  • Experience within a multi-stakeholder, multi-buying group sales environment
  • Track record of effectively selling and implementing enterprise solutions front to back
  • Proactive thinker, problem solver, with the ability to create apt solutions.
  • High level of self-motivation and team player with the ability to perform in a high-pressure environment with limited supervision.
  • Effective stakeholder management and collaboration across businesses
  • Some understanding of local and global regulatory environment
