• We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Data Business Analyst.

The Opportunity:

• The role resides in the Data Management Change Team reporting directly to the Data Change Lead, Bangalore.
• This is a role for a Data Business Analyst within a Data Analytics Office (DAO). This role will be focused on supporting Operational Business Teams with their requirements dependent on the AM Data Services.  The successful candidate will work across the various Data Services and Operational Teams to support the Data Service build out to support the consumer/stakeholder requirements.
• The initial focus of this role will be to work with the ESG Data Service, delivering Vendor data to the Performance and Reporting and Investment Teams.  Business Analysis will be the main responsibility of the role, however there could be an element of test activity also required.

What you’ll do:

• The main responsibilities for this role will be as follows:
• Analysis – the candidate must have the ability to interpret conversations and written requirements from a stakeholder into Business and Functional requirements that will be used to define development and test cases.
• Documentation – the candidate must be able to produce Business Requirements and Functional Requirement documentation expected by the Project(s).  This documentation would be based on analysis/feedback from stakeholders.
• Meetings – the candidate must be confident to attend and in some cases chair project and analysis meetings where they will be expected to speak out to the other attendees regarding the analysis phase of the change lifecycle.
• Test Definitions – an additional part of this role for the candidate is for some small test execution.  There is an existing test team, however on occasion there could be a requirement for the candidate to do some small amount of testing.  The candidate should be comfortable executing these small tests to support the overall deliverable for the lifecycle.
• Understanding of what is expected – the candidate must be able to use of stakeholder requirements raised through brief JIRA stories.  The candidate must be proactive to explore the requirements and work towards aa full understanding.
• Defect Management - it is expected that the candidate can manage the defect list for the project that they are aligned too.  Chasing for answers, fixes and retests by team members where required.
• Communication – the candidate must have excellent communication skills.  The ability to ask questions when something is not clear, challenge when there is a need to challenge and answer questions with confidence is essential in this role.
• Test Execution – the candidate must have the ability to execute tests based on their own analysis and test scripts.  There may also be times where they would need to execute another member of the team’s tests confidently and in line with the defined descriptions.

What you will need to succeed in this role?

• Business Analysis – working with business areas to discuss requirements, taking these requirements and translating them into business and functional requirements documents
• In depth experience working with developers and testing teams to work towards documented requirements
• In depth experience with ESG data services and ESG data providers
• Experience working in Google Cloud Platform
• Demonstratable skill in SQL – ability to query data for analysis, joining tables utilizing primary keys
• Project lifecycle – both waterfall and agile.
• Testing and project tools such as Quality Centre and JIRA.
• Asset Management Business – understanding the Front and Middle Office
• Ability to query data extracted in multiple formats, for example XML.
• Be self –motivated, confident and driven but able to manage/support and work within a team
• Experienced with chairing and managing meetings with large attendees and documenting actions and follow up tasks
• Experience with Security Master Systems
• Experience with Investment Data Systems

What additional skills will be good to have?

• Experience of working in a global environment with distributed business users and IT resources.
• Experience of working with Vendor Project Teams.
• Automated testing.
• Experience utilizing Python
