The Opportunity:

  • We are seeking a skilled and motivated business manager with 3-4 years of experience to join our dynamic team at HSBC, a leading global financial services organization. As an advisory product business manager, you will be responsible for understanding business needs, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with various teams to enhance operational efficiency and optimize business strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial markets, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable insights.

What you’ll do:

  • Conduct detailed analysis of business processes, workflows, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders to ensure clear communication of objectives and needs.
  • Analyze financial data and market trends to assist in the development of trading strategies and risk management practices.
  • Support the development and implementation of new software tools and systems to streamline operations and enhance trading capabilities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, product development, and operations, to deliver solutions that align with business objectives of automation and process streamlining.
  • Assist in creating detailed reports and dashboards for senior management to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and business outcomes.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support decision-making processes related to new product offerings and services.
  • Assist in risk assessment and compliance tasks to ensure adherence to regulatory standards in the stock broking industry.
Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Master’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience as a business analyst, preferably within the financial services, stock broking, or wealth management industry.
  • Strong understanding of stock markets, trading platforms, and financial products.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and using tools such as python, Excel, SQL, and business intelligence software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex business scenarios and propose data-driven solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders.

  • Strong and proven leadership skills to develop and nurture stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent relationship management and diplomacy skills, ability to communicate, influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Ability to think and plan as part of a Global team working across different time zones and takes personal accountability.
  • Skilled decision maker, able to stand firm and show necessary flexibility where required.
  • Be highly organized with attention to detail.
