We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Asset Assistant Manager.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Asset Assistant Manager (Mortgage Product) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, implementing and managing a suite of innovative financial solutions which include products and services tailored to the needs of property developers and real estate agencies in Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities:

Business Development 

  • Identify and cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders namely, internal Business Development Unit (BDV), Distribution team, Risk Management team and external parties e.g. property developers and real estate agencies in Malaysia. 
  • Understand the unique needs and challenges of property developers and translate them into actionable product solutions for our customers. 
  • Negotiate and close deals with developers, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships.

Product Management 

  • Develop, launch, and manage a portfolio of financial products specifically designed for property developers. 
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the property development industry. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., credit, risk, operations) to ensure seamless product delivery and risk management. 
  • Monitor product performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize results.

Client Relationship Management: 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and support. 
  • Proactively address client concerns and resolve issues in a timely manner. 
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling to enhance client satisfaction and revenue.

Other Responsibilities

  • To manage and drive the implementation of business strategies to grow the retail assets business portfolio.
  • In charge of the product strategy and the business P&L and is expected to work closely with the other related departments i.e. Operations, Credit, CCR, Sales to drive the business in line with the overall RBWM business strategy.
  • To manage and drive retail asset products business portfolio to contribute positively to Bank’s Profit according to operating plan and forecast.
  • To identify opportunities, recommend and implement initiatives to ensure sustainable growth in the business portfolio in accordance to the approved Risk Reward Parameter.
  • To engage various stakeholders when proposing and implementing changes to the product parameters.
  • To provide leadership to project teams in implementing changes according to business needs.
  • To ensure awareness of compliance / audit requirements and implementation of Group Compliance policies.
Requirements
Requirements
  • Preferably a Bachelor's Degree in business related field, preferably in business, economic, marketing, finance and accounting, or communication.
  • More than five years of product/ project management experience in a FI or large corporate firm environment & strong knowledge of the Malaysian mortgage market.
  • Evidence of a strong collaborator with proven ability to influence broadly and challenge conventional thinking.
  • Superb ability in strategic thinking and the ability to frame business problems.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven ability to translate data into meaningful information and actions.
  • Excellent communication skills & ability to work with other stakeholders in the bank.
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of the financial services industry, competitors and target market.
  • Strong business decision making and have good planning and organization skills.
