What you’ll do:     

  • Assist the implementation of Operation Risk Management Framework and support management to identify regulatory & internal policy changes for continuous risk identification and control monitoring.
  • Responsible for undertaking the CDD(Customer Due Diligence) process for new clients in accordance with the HSBC Global Standard and the relevant laws and local policies, processes & procedures.
  • Identify and escalate critical/exceptional issues to the appropriate management.
  • Assist to engage stakeholders as required (including but not limited to Subject Matter Experts, other NFR teams, and Global Function, etc.).
  • Collect and maintain information and data for ongoing risk control and monitoring, document appropriately in internal systems.
Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:       

  • Good understanding of operational risk and controls preferably gained through experience in front line and/or risk roles, FCR/AML/KYC related knowledge.
  • Experience in retail banking operations / banking products, exposures to audit and/or compliance functions/ requirements an advantage.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize while ensuring quality.
  • Good command of written and spoken Cantonese and English.
