KYC Services has onshore hubs in New York, London, Dubai, Paris and Hong Kong and supporting GSC sites in Bangalore, Kolkata, Krakow, and Manila.
  • Within the scope of KYC Services is the performance of Tax NTB, Remediation and Trigger Events and the systems used are Ariadna/Pandora/IQueue which is a custom built application built for the following purpose:
  • Assigning of tax form searches and validations to production teams.
  • Recording the progress of searching and validation of tax forms undertaken by Production Analysts.
  • Recording of the progress of tax forms search and validation quality checks undertaken by Production Quality Analysts

The Opportunity:

  • To support Management Team in monitoring work progress and profiles completion, what mainly includes: tracking work progress, monitoring cases with issues, supporting management team in optimal allocation of workload, assisting management team in preparation of the MI reports and other pertinent communications, supporting team leads in communication with CMDD, preparation of ad hoc reports, scorecards and performance of data quality checks as necessary, proposing any process improvements. Additionally, actively supporting any other admin or business management tasks, like seating plan, creating organization charts, capacity planning, etc.

What you’ll do:

Key activities and decision making areas   

  • The MI and Data team is responsible for initially splitting the proposed workable population and assigning a sub-divided population to the Team Leaders; and they in turn further split their assigned population among their analysts
  • Detection of Duplicate Tax Profiles and removals from the population
  • Housekeeping report file will be shared with Operations so that they can run the queries and make the necessary changes or corrections. It will be the MI team’s responsibility to update the file and queries in accordance with any process changes.
  • Preparation of weekly or monthly reports, Capacity vs Workload, Quantitative KPI Measure, and Qualitative KPI Measure.
  • Preparation of Analyst Production Performance Reports
  • Running the workflow tool and report distribution
  • Preparing KRI reports and escalating outstanding cases as appropriate; when necessary monitoring and chasing cases.
  • Monitoring work progress with groups and any other types of entities marked by Management Team (if required).
  • Supporting Management Team in optimal allocation of workload.
  • Assisting Management Team in collection and interpretation of production data for inclusion in the MI pack and preparation of the MI pack itself.
  • Preparation of Outreach reports
  • Support on business management tasks such as updates in SD Static/ICATs, GBRT/BCP, etc

Customers / Stakeholders:

  • Preparing data for Motivational Scheme purposes.
  • Supporting Management Team in collecting quantity data for performance review.
  • Performing ad-hoc monitoring of Remediation and Trigger populations if required.
  • Supporting Team Leads in communication with CMDD, what includes: management of the Outreach sharepoint tool and preparation of reports.
  • Preparation of ad hoc reports for tax audits and performance of data quality checks as necessary

  • Issues identified or brought to the notice of Management Team
  • Meet all agreed with the stake holders deadlines.
  • Following agreed process.

Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:                      

  • Analytical skills in respect of a wide variety client types, financial institutions, quoted companies, private companies, hedge
     funds, funds, SPV’s and partnerships. An in-depth knowledge of these industries is not a pre-requisite.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to build and maintain relationships.
  • Positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Pro-active and business orientation with proven ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands and ability to assess
     stakeholder needs to improve customer experience and showing resilience under pressure and providing best in class solutions
  • Experience in risk management field, and proven ability to support the development of the business activities while robustly
     applying risk management disciplines and controls.
  • Proven business and operational experience.
  • Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with business heads, senior managers,
     consultants, technical experts across the whole department and business users.
  • Previous KYC remediation work within a international financial institution a real plus
  • Strong operational and practical knowledge of Excel and Power Point.  Microsoft Word, SQL and Access (the latter a plus).
  • Working effectively with key stakeholders using strong influencing skills to ensure mutually satisfactory resolution of key issues and the respective responsibilities are understood and discharged.
  • Ensure compliance with HSBC Group standards.
  • Working in a pressurized, time-sensitive and changing environment 

What additional skills will be good to have?

  • Minimum 1 year KYC Services experience with a financial institution or equivalent detailed process, ideally in a regulated
     business or legal practice.
  • Superior SQL and Server experience in building reports and queries
  • Sound knowledge of the wide range, and complex variety, of fund/corporate structures.
  • Visual Basics (VBA), MS Access, Data Mining, Advanced knowledge on Excel, well versed with generating waterfall reports
  • Ability to work well under pressure with high degree of accuracy.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Analytical skills in respect of a wide variety document types.
