The Opportunity:
- Business Consulting job family is structured to address end-to-end business needs. Members of this Job Family are differentiated by their capability of providing the required consultation & work with end-business by way of assessing the requirements, identifying the right analytical solution that can solve for the business problem, and developing the same for execution – often covering areas of business growth, improving customer experience, limiting risk exposure, enhancing internal business processes etc. They are required to, as necessary, embed agile & exploratory practices into their approach as needed, and retain the flexibility to change track to adopt other solutions based on changed scenarios, in order to deliver on effective results. This talent group can be tapped into for providing solutions for varying areas including improving existing processes, technology and approaches by embedding exploratory & analytics & taking it forward with a consulting mind set.
- Strong understanding of business domain, functional goals, and the required technical expertise across multiple regions. Makes decisions, even with ambiguous /incomplete data at a pace that balances the need for further analysis and the need for timely decision given business priorities / requirements.
- Lead end-to-end design strategy for dashboards, self-service BI tools, and data visualization solutions that align with business goals and user needs.
- Design and maintain a consistent UI framework across business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik), ensuring alignment with branding, accessibility, and usability standards.
- Work closely with each business area to deliver specific solutions for each business bottom-line.
- Data management and governance using state-of-the-art methods.
- Leverage usage analytics and feedback loops to iterate on existing interfaces, enhancing user adoption and engagement.
- Champion data storytelling best practices, driving a design culture focused on insight clarity, minimal cognitive load, and decision support.
- Stay current on emerging trends in UX/UI, data visualization, and BI design to bring innovative ideas into our analytics products.
- Contribute to building and institutionalizing a design system for analytics, including templates, visual standards, and interaction patterns.
- Establish quality standards in terms of timeliness of the projects and accuracy of the deliverables.
- Ability to independently deliver without any handholding and effective project management and closure with documented evidence.
- S/he should have analytical independent thought process and can-do attitude towards all the problems needing a solution.
- Proven ability to navigate organizational complexities and drive collaboration across disparate teams to achieve common goals.
- Strong ability to communicate complex analytical concepts and strategic recommendations to executive leadership, tailoring messaging to different audiences and driving consensus.
- Complete other related duties as assigned and support the Company’s Diversity programs.
- Ensure adherence with all the applicable compliance policies (Data security policy, AML, operational risk, Functional manual, Group Compliance Manual, Audit recommendations, Internal Control requirements, regulatory guidelines etc.) and business standards of Organization as applicable. Take timely action on Audit comments and be able to demonstrate compliance with Internal controls.
- Besides strong written and verbal communication skills the incumbent is also expected to have strong presentation skills.
Major Challenges
- The role holder will be expected to understand key business goals & priorities at top of the house level, and distil it down to specific goals for specific business partners
- Need to understand business and operations to initiate projects from GAC – Ops analytics and assign work to all his team members.
- Given the dynamic and ever-changing global business situation, the incumbent of this role is expected to surmise the business priority and enable the effective delivery of projects and analysis and meet the ever changing business priorities
- The role holder will be expected to go to the heart of the business problem under consideration, and provide a solution rather than simply present the data
- The role holder is required to take quick decisions in situations where complete information/ data might not exist and he/ she would need to apply business knowledge & intuition to make best case recommendations
Role Context
- The job holder has a key role to create a stable and effective operation of analytics against dynamic business situations
- One of key roles is to hire and retain good quality resources for stable delivery of analytical solutions to business and help shape future business strategy and define long term contribution to the group
- The role holder shall also be expected to guide and lead team members from a functional perspective and help them build up a strong business understanding.
Management of Risk/Internal Controls/Compliance:
- The jobholder will continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
- The jobholder will also adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.
- The jobholder will implement the Group compliance policy by containing compliance risk in liaison with Global Head of Compliance, Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer. The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply.
- This will be achieved by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with Compliance department about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity. Also and when applicable, by ensuring adequate resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with regulators.
What you will need to succeed in the role:
- Graduate / Postgraduate in information systems or other engineering specializations or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in UI/UX design, with proficiency in applying design principles like information hierarchy, visual clarity, consistency, and intuitive navigation to create user-friendly and effective dashboards.
- Data Visualization & Analytics: Ability to select appropriate chart types, interpret complex data, and derive actionable insights, coupled with a solid understanding of business KPIs.
- Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch) and a working knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.).
- Interactivity & Usability: Skills in designing dynamic filters, drilldowns, and responsive layouts that enhance user engagement and facilitate seamless data exploration.
What additional skills will be good to have?
- Expertise in data modeling, SQL, ETL processes, and connecting to diverse data sources to ensure robust and accurate data for dashboards.
- Communication & Problem-Solving: Ability to effectively gather requirements, present insights, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.
- Knowledge and understanding of financial-services/ banking-operations
- Strong project management skills.
