Role - Associate Director, Tech SME

Department :Risk and Compliance IT / FinCrime IT

In this role, you will:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GCP Cloud and DevOps Lead to design, implement, and manage infrastructure automation

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on GCP.

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.

  • Design, develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using standard tools.

  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, GCE, MIGs, VPC, Terraform, Jenkins, and other DevOps tools,

  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, and Jenkins for applications deployed on GKE in Private VPCs.

  • Create and configure Firewalls, IAM roles, and GCS Buckets.

  • Develop Terraform scripts for creating and managing cloud resources such as Projects, Service Accounts, Custom Roles,

  • GCS Buckets, GKE Clusters, Custom Log Metrics, and Alerting.

  • Implement containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Configure IAM roles, policies, and permissions to ensure secure access to cloud resources.

  • Set up logging and monitoring solutions for cloud resources and applications using custom log metrics and alerting mechanisms.

  • Optimize costs and resource utilization on GCP.

  • Monitor system performance, reliability, and security; implement best practices for cloud operations.

  • Provide visionary leadership to cross-functional teams, guiding them through complex technical challenges.

  • Mentor and develop talent within the IT organization, promoting a high-performance culture.

  • Participate in risk assessments and mitigation strategies, ensuring that all architectural decisions align with regulatory compliance and data security requirement.

  • Driving Engineering excellence and community of practices across service line
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP),

  • Strong hand on experience in Compute, Kubernetes, Storage, Networking, Security, IAM, Logging, and Monitoring.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, PySpark, Shell / Bash and YAML.

  • Expertise in ETL tools like Prophecy, Ab-initio

  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager). Proficiency in Terraform for application infrastructure provisioning and management.

  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Git, Docker, Ansible

  • Experience with Helm for Kubernetes package management. Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana).

  • Expertise in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications. 

  • Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.

  • Agile Development Principles (Crum, Jira, Confluence etc.)
