We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join IVB Fund Banking team as an Associate, Relationship Management Support.

In this role you will

  • Implement and drive PE and VC Funds clients coverage strategies within Innovation Banking
  • Support relationship management team in delivering efficient and quality service to clients; Support relationship management team to handle the assigned portfolio including but not limited to non-financial risks and regulatory compliance matters
  • Support Business Development activities & prospect meetings with relationship management team
  • Oversee the client onboarding process, act as the primary point of contact for clients, create & update MG record in CME
  • Provide effective and efficient operational support to the relationship management team in particular on complex relationships and complicated operation requests
  • Identify business opportunities via daily contact with clients at different levels, increase HSBC’s share of wallet with clients
  • Share best practices within and among the relationship team or internal working partners, provide input and suggestions on process streamlining and various control mechanisms
  • Continually assess operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economics or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructuring and the impact of new technologies
Requirements

To be successful you will need

  • Knowledge on PE and VC Funds sector
  • Strong relationship management, communication and influencing skills; Relevant experience in banking, preferably with HK and China market experience
  • High level of customer-centric mind set with dedication to deliver exceptional quality services
  • Good understanding of the core HSBC products, ability to identify the business opportunity and strengthen the client relationship via providing good client service
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved
  • Language skills in spoken and written Mandarin is an advantage. Excellent spoken and written English
