  • Ensures that Card and Loan (Personal Loan and Mortgages) applications are assessed and underwritten consistently, objectively, with uniform application of policy, procedure and guidelines, all of this within turned around within the stipulated Service Level Agreements
  • Responsible to ascertain the credit worthiness of individual retail customer with complete financial and cash flow analysis for unsecured lending applications
  • Maintain the SLA’s for processing applications and help in structuring loans within the banks approved policy guidelines.
  • Recommend policy and product changes to the concerned stakeholders for bringing new developments in the existing guidelines

Operational Effectiveness & Control

 

·       Monitor the implementation of the Credit Policy for Unsecured Lending.

 

·       Ensure that the credit and the risk function for the loans is compliant with the recommendations made by audit.

 

·       Improve processes to achieve consistency in decisioning process.

 

·       Manage and review proposals that are in exception to policy.

  •     ·       Process improvement.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of work experience, of which at least 3 year should be in Underwriting or Credit Operations. Have a good understanding of the overall Retail Lending operations ( Pre Issuance)
  • Good understanding of Credit Bureau – CIBIL. Mus be able to interpret the bureau tradelines and taken an informed decision.
  • Good understanding of local market & retails products.
  • Good verbal, written communication, interpersonal skills.
  • One of the below qualification are mandatory:
  • FRM/PRMIA /CA/ICWA/CS/CFA/M.Com or
  • MBA Finance or equivalent  or
  • MSC/MS Finance or equivalent or
  • PGDM /PGDBM / PGDRM or equivalent or
  • Certificate Examination in Certified Credit Professional - IIBF or
  • Diploma Certification Course in Risk Management – NIBM

Additional Information 

  • As per the RBI mandated Capacity Building Certification Requirement for Bank, this role requires the candidate to have the required certification / equivalent qualification before the selection for the above role.

Eligibility Criteria 

  • India Bank / INM employees will be eligible to apply to this role after completion of 12 months in the current role/position at the time of application on level transfer and/or promotion.
  • Entity Employees (not from India Bank) to be guided by their internal policy on tenure completion in current role at the time of application before applying and share line manager approval once shortlisted
  • INM Employees in scope of WPB Career Progression Framework not eligible to apply to roles within the purview of the Framework
