Sales, Distribution and Business Development plays a vital role in understanding and meeting customer needs by offering the right solutions through the right channels to the right customer segments.  The team is responsible for implementing distribution strategy, driving the delivery of market leading personal banking customer experiences and thereby maximising customer satisfaction.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Business Development Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will

  • Broadening the relationship through promoting the Expat benefits that HSBC can bring to the relationships e. g. e, accounts across multiple currencies, sophisticated investments etc
  • Acting as a trusted partner to local branch network, call centre and colleagues to refer clients and increase the customer base in Expat
  • Assisting in establishing new business relationships and strengthening existing ones, whilst ensuring fair outcomes for Premier of customers
  • Proactively identifying Expat sales opportunities and develop these opportunities
  • Supporting plans and strategies to generate new business, in order to achieve Expat customer base growth and acquisition targets
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, which may include relationship managers and product specialists, to maximise Expat-promoting opportunities
  • Work with Operational Risk and other key functions to define the optimal balance between secure provision of services and respective policies
Requirements

To be successful you will need

  • Solid years’ experience in retail/corporate banking
  • Exposure and previous experience with multiculture and relationship management
  • Solid business development and client relationship management experience
  • Detailed understanding of retail financial products delivery through multiple channels
  • Ability to influence and mobilise resource and stakeholders
  • Culturally sensitive and understanding of customer needs
  • Global mindset with strong sense of commerciality
