International Wealth & Premier Banking (IWPB) serves more than 50 million customers worldwide with a complete range of banking and wealth management services to enable them to manage their finances and protect and build their financial futures. The Business Financial Crime Risk Manager will play a significant and critical role in the success of IWPB’s objectives and outcomes with regards to deterring, detecting, and protecting against financial crime risk. The role will report to Senior Business Financial Crime Risk Manager for IWPB and be responsible for a number of key financial crime related activities. The role holder must ensure the primary operational aspects are managed effectively to achieve strategic business and customer outcomes in a sustainable, ethical and cost-effective manner, and in accordance with the Financial Crime Global Standards, working closely with local, Regional and Global stakeholders across all 3 lines of defence.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the IWPB in adhering with Local, Regional and Global Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Policy and Procedures.
- Assisting IWPB in maintaining an oversight of CDD controls for existing and new customers.
- Implementing and embedding the changes for CDD policies into BAU process for IWPB Channels or Operations colleagues and working with relevant teams to deploy changes for new or existing customer’s CDD review processes.
- Performing post implementation reviews on CDD processes to ensure they have been appropriately embedded across all teams, with appropriate controls to monitor the on-going effectiveness.
- Managing the periodic/ad-hoc CDD system changes for IWPB which includes analysing the impact, informing required stakeholders, identifying and driving actions to implement the change.
- Streamlining, optimising and implementing the CDD related processes for IWPB.
- Keeping an oversight of Operations team’s KPIs, escalating and assisting to resolve issues.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Finance and/or business-related field with relevant experience in Financial Crime or Risk Management.
- High level of analytical and reasoning skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills in order to meet competing deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and presentation skills.
Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
