COO Business Management Support Team assists in operationalization of GPB & WPS vision and strategy. In that context the Team is responsible for GPB & WPS’s overall performance and Operations delivery with an increased focus on Revenue, Cost, resources and Third party management.
The Opportunity:
The purpose of the Business Manager - Performance and Operations role is to provide expert support and assistance in providing business performance, operational efficiency and value added advice and services. The role will be quite dynamic and will require the candidate to be able to handle multiple, evolving tasks as required. The role holder will be expected to drive projects through to completion, working through complex issues with minimal supervision.
What you’ll do:
Responsible for providing proactive, insightful analysis and key performance metrics to drive improved business performance. Able to explain historic performance and future strategies of the business to wider audiences adding commercial context to performance
Support cost management unit (CMU) reviews by having an effective outlook on business revenue and managing specific cost management reviews
Support on end to end Workforce Planning process and continuously drive and enhance the process
Support FTE reporting by establishing a seamless weekly FTE review process
Assist in the production of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP); collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure the process is seamless and it reflects the dynamics of the business
Support CAO leadership GPB & WPS on cost, headcount and finance matters in partnership with the GPB & WPS Finance team
Work with strategy and finance teams on preparing materials for monthly business reviews
Support on Cost optimisation projects and CTA programmes cost reporting & saves tracking
Support operational processes of all third party engagements (e.g. Consulting, Contactor etc.)
Coordinate and resolve all Servco queries independently.
Continually identify opportunities to improve business’s operational efficiency and operating performance.
Create and improve controls in all reporting process
What you will need to succeed in the role:
10+ years experience in business performance, cost management, financial analysis, trend analysis and quantitative analysis in a strategy consulting firm or leading global/regional financial institution.
Proven track record on problem solving skills and navigation within complex networks.
Sharp business and commercial acumen, management of financials, ability to make and influence strategic decision
Advanced excel and PowerPoint skills are a must. Knowledge of VBA a major benefit
Effective strategic thinking and problem solving ability (critical analytical thinking)
Ability to deliver senior management-ready, high quality materials
Ability to identify, manage and mitigate risk effectively
Results-oriented; ability to deliver within deadlines by working independently and able to work in a small team with a flat structure
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Strong communication skills (written and oral) as well as energetic, positive attitude and a team player.
What additional skills will be good to have?
The role holder will communicate regularly with global and Regional teams.
GPB & WPS Cost Transformation Team needs to ensure processes implemented are robust, transparent and fit for purpose will be crucial in enabling the success of the team
Continual development is required by the role holders in understanding of a complex global business and changing regulatory environment
Continual need to improve in-depth understanding of operational process/procedures and systems needed to support GPB & WPS’s complex product and service offering.
