We have a new opportunity for a Business Support Administrator to join us on a one-year fixed term contract working within our International Wealth and Personal Banking (IWPB) Risk team. You will be working in a close-nit risk team supporting two senior leaders with all aspects of business administration, including travel, expense and diary management. In addition, you will help in coordinating events and meetings for the broader Risk & Compliance Team and have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects aimed at making Risk & Compliance the best place to work. You will be required to interact and build relationships with key stakeholders across the HSBC group locally and regionally.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Admin support and diary management for the IWPB Chief Risk Officer and the Head of Wholesale Credit Risk.
  • Coordination and planning of team building and company events for the IWPB Risk and broader Risk & Compliance team.
  • Assist with the day-to-day operations and various administrative activities such as power point presentations, including assisting with recruitment and interview scheduling.
  • Partner with Executive Assistants within the Risk and Compliance team to work on joint projects and deliverables.
  • Provide leave cover for other admin staff - supporting senior leaders of the Risk and Compliance Leadership Team
  • Email inbox management including escalation on urgent tasks and briefing on scheduled meetings, ensuring all support documentation is available. 
  • Expense Management and reconciliation including assisting IWPB Risk and Wholesale Credit Risk Teams.
  • Supporting with various reporting activities and providing cover for the Business Management Team as required.
Requirements

  • Capacity to work autonomously while also being a supportive team player, ready to lend a hand on various projects and workloads.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to adapt to a wide range of work procedures and operational guidelines.
  • Ability to prioritise and juggle multiple simultaneous tasks.

Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
