In this role, you will:
- Understand the existing Carbon Framework and work closely with the consuming teams and other stakeholder to support and evolve it.
- Work with Lead Engineers, Architects and Carbon Framework consumers to clarify requirements and create low level design for it and then implement and release it.
- Work with Carbon Framework consumers to address their queries and concerns about the framework and assist them in the usage. As a part of this improve documentation and develop reference applications / APIs.
- Lead agile ceremonies. Guide support engineering team. Raise flags, challenge status quo, and ensure right thing is done. Guide and mentor junior engineers. Perform code and design reviews. Perform troubleshooting and come with best solution. Perform POCs and look out way for team and product improvements.
- Refine user stories with Lead Engineer to ensure they are ready for development.
- Assess the benefits, risks, and dependencies of various solution options by participating in technical conversations. Approach technical challenges with an open collaborative mind-set.
- Advocate for and meet high professional standards of development using technologies like Java 21, Sprint Boot 3, Kotlin 1.9, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Groovy etc. and microservices engineering and architecture best practices and patterns.
- Implement product features and deliver comprehensive tests as part of every deliverable.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Strong analytical, design and problem-solving skills. Good technical troubleshooting skills. Eager to learn and adopt new technical things.
- Expertise in API-driven, micro services development and best practices using technologies like Java, Spring Boot, Kotlin, Open API Specification OAS3 etc. In-depth knowledge required.
- Must be able to apply SOLID and other architectural principles to designs, code and tests.
- Excellent team player with ability to work under minimal supervision and good collaboration inside and outside of the team is essential. Good command of written and spoken English
- Experience in Cloud technologies / DevOps tools – AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Git, Jenkins, Splunk, AppD etc.
- Experience of Agile/Scrum/SAFe principles and best practices with Jira and Confluence
- Knowledge of reactive programming, functional, non-blocking, asynchronous code, or co-routines.
- Experience of working in Mule / RAML technology
