This is done by building solutions that can be consumed by the development community to remove the cognitive load of a developer allowing them to experts in delivering business value.

The Opportunity:

This role will be a key developer within the Patterns pod and will join the team to maintain existing and build new building blocks that automate away complexity for the value stream developer.

What you’ll do:

• The job holder will have to perform following major duties, includes but not limited to:
• Accelerate reuse in Enterprise Technology by creating patterns that can be adopted by teams
• Delivery InnerSource Framework to scale the Engineering Excellence solution to whole ET
• Assist in the provision of robust and scalable golden path pipelines to streamline and automate the delivery life cycle

e.g. continuous integration and deployment, environment provisioning, monitoring etc

• Assist in advocating the best Fitness Functions and Controls to ET

• 8 years+ experience in software development area.
• Strong communication skills in both written and oral English.
• Expert knowledge of OO and the functional programming languages golang, Terraform & Groovy
• Experienced in applying TDD and BDD to deliver software with strong testability.
• Familiarity with CICD and DevOps tooling e.g. Jenkins, Sonar, GitHub, Grafana, Nginx, etc.
• Good knowledge of the Google Cloud platform in particular Kubernetes/Containerisation
• Good knowledge of RHEL server daily operations, with abilities of writing Shell script.
• Able to work independently and effectively under pressure.

What additional skills will be good to have?

• Enthusiastic and self-motivated with excellent time management skills and strong initiative.
• Familiarity with Ansible is a desirable.
• Familiarity with AWS is desirable.
• Familiarity with micros service framework like Sprint Cloud, Service mesh is a plus
• Familiarity with MVVM framework, like Angular, React, Vue is a plus
• Experience of participating with open source software development or community is a plus.
