OBS (Online Banking System) is an in house developed banking system supporting the majority of the banking applications for the retail and corporate business in AMH and HASE.
OBS supports the following banking applications including the major accounting ones:
Savings, Current Account, Foreign Exchange, Phone Banking, Loans, Integrated Package Accounts, Retail Credit, Complex Limits, Account Opening, Gold, Bank Fund Transfer, Billing, Auto-pay, etc.
OBS serves as the backend for major channels, including branch network, GSP/P2G, DBB/B2G, ATM, Phone banking, CRMS, HSBCnet, etc. It also serves back offices and processing centres in various sites (Guangzhou, Foshan, etc).
As more and more projects are built/setup in OBS, we are now sincerely inviting experienced IT professional to join our team.
The Opportunity:
What you’ll do:
- Specialized with Core banking product features or mainframe development
- Design and engineer software with the customer/user experience as a key objective
- Actively contributes to Technology Engineering Practice by sharing Subject Matter Expertise from their area of specialism, best practice and learnings
- Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team
- Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered
- Keep up-to-date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc. that are applicable
Requirements
- University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline
- Over 6 years solid working experience in IT industry, or knowledge in Core Banking industry will be an advantage.
- Experience in some of the following technologies are necessary: COBOL, CICS, DB2, SQL.
- Experience in some of the following technologies would be an advantage: ASSEMBLER
- Good analytical, mathematical and strong problem-solving skills, Able to work under pressure, demonstrate enthusiasm and learn quickly
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills in spoken and written English
