We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Core Quant Associate Director .
Principal Responsibilities
Credit and Capital Management (CCM) is on an exciting journey and embarking on a multi-year transformation project. The Core Quant Associate Director will partner with Product specialists across the regions to ensure models are optimised to serve the Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) franchise and structural market conditions in each region, driving the build of an industry leading credit platform within the Felis Wholesale Analytics Platform. This will include working in cross-functional teams to implement changes to the technology stack and helping to deliver a global program to build and utilise a set of tools that leverage capital models to optimise our business strategy and understand the risk profile at a deeper level
In this role you will
- Support the design and build of a state-of-the-art code library and development environment
- Utilise statistical profiling of disperse datasets representing inputs into the return on equity of the business to identify opportunities to optimise one or more aspects of profitability metrics with a focus on product pricing
- Provide commercially driven thought leadership into the design and calibration of the relevant credit framework
- Partner with client facing teams in the design of capital & resource efficient products ensuring the tooling is available to monitor the performance of those products
- Support efforts to drive culture change across the organisation to embed quantitative tooling in to increasingly automated processes in asset classes that are becoming technology driven in the marketplace
To be successful you will need
- Extensive experience in financial services with a background in credit, rates or cash management markets
- Highly numerate with hands on knowledge of coding languages e.g. Python, C++; and strong experience with software development
- Strong commercial acumen and execution capabilities, with experience in a Strats / quant / analytics / data function
- Experience with financial data and data analytics
- Motivated quick thinker with innovative problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience of preparing and presenting recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders
- Result oriented and team player who can foster strong and collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders
