What you will do:

The role acts as Relationship Manager for an existing portfolio of French affiliates of Commercial  Banking (CMB) customers international groups, within the Large Corporate and Mid- Market Enterprise segments. Clients should be visited on a regular basis.

Major objectives are to develop revenues with some clients having sophisticated needs and with new-to-bank customers in an active geography with large-scale industrial projects.

This opportunity is based at the CBC International, avenue Kléber in Paris. The working hours are Monday to Friday.

The CBC consists of an experienced, dynamic and motivated team responsible for developing the relationship with this international clientele, which is one of the key strategic priorities for the group.

 

In this role you will:

  • Open new accounts in accordance with group and HSBC France procedures for French subsidiaries of International Corporate clients of the HSBC group.  
  • Grow sustainable revenues from the existing customer portfolio.
  • Work collaboratively with other Global Businesses, Product and Service Partners to identify opportunities to connect customers to opportunities and strengthen the relationship.
  • Develop effective strategies to manage customer relationships, anticipate customer needs and provide a superior quality service to position HSBC as the market leader in this segment with the help of the Global Relationship Manager (GRM) in charge of the relationship with the parent company.
  • Develop relationships with the GRMs based abroad and gain referrals for new clients.
  • Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of the application of policies, governance frameworks, procedures, practices and standards to ensure quality, effective risk management (renewing lending facilities, overdrawn accounts, watchlists, anti-money laundering...).
  • Ensure consistent application of Group Policy and adhere to regulatory, financial, and legal standards to minimise business and reputational risks.
  • Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of customer information, including Know your Customer (KYC) requirements, in Group systems.
Requirements

You should apply if you have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a consultative selling approach and high-level presentation skills. You have an acumen for developing the relationship with and providing excellent service to Corporate customers whilst respecting HSBC’s global standards. You have an ability to anticipate clients’ needs and tailor service delivery to them.
  • Excellent time management, planning and organisation skills. Excellent ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills, with a rigorous appreciation of risk and compliance.
  • Knowledge of Global Liquidity and Cash Management, Global Banking and Markets, Trade and Receivables Finance products and capabilities, an ability to develop an advanced customer dialogue (macro-economic and industry related knowledge, Corporate financing solutions) and an ability to manage the risks associated with this type of clientele in an international environment.
  • Solid credit analysis experience of banking and finance products and services proposed to Corporate clients
  • You have a first significant experience in commercial banking, preferably as a Relationship Manager

 

A fluent written and spoken level of English and French is required for this role.
