We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Data and Analytics Manager

Lead/mentor a team of individuals to provide analytical and strategic solutions to business.

Act as an SME/consultant on a functional area, conceptualise analytical solution for the business problem at hand for multiple businesses/regions.

Focus on driving efficiency gains and enhancement of processes.

Partner with the business effectively to drive data driven decisions and generate value.

Also drive business benefit through self-initiated projects The role holder also be expected to guide and lead team members form a functional perspective and help them build up a strong business understanding.

Main Activities:

  • The jobholder will continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.
  • The jobholder will also adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.
  • The jobholder will implement the Group compliance policy by containing compliance risk in liaison with Global Head of Compliance, Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer. The term ‘compliance’ embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply.
Requirements
  • At least 6 years of hands-on analytics experience solving complex business problems using data.
  • PhD or master’s degree from reputed university in statistics, economics, or any other quantitative fields
  • Strong analytical skills with business analysis experience or equivalent. In-depth knowledge and understanding of financial-services/ banking-operations is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of Analytical and statistical concepts like modelling, forecasting, segmentation etc
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to mentor team members and guide them effectively.
  • Ability to confidently interact with senior management and communicate and synthesize information in a simple form.
  • Besides strong written and verbal communication skills the incumbent is also expected to have strong presentation skills.
