The role holder will focus on solutions structuring and thought leadership content for both global and regional clients with, supporting development and growth of profitable long-term relationships within the Institutional Clients Group (ICG) - in MENAT (in partnership with the Global Relationship Managers and Product partners).
The role is targeted on our ability to differentiate our Bank offering for ICG clients, based on our ability to deliver thought leadership, strategic engagement and cross-product value-add solutions for the client group.
The working location for this position is HSBC Tower, Dubai, UAE.

In this role, you will:
• Work closely with a diverse range of client segments, including Liquid and Illiquid Investors, Banks, Insurance and Public Sector to grow and develop both existing and new relationship across the regions.
• Originate and execute business across the spectrum of CIB’s products, in particular for solutions that need cross-product alignment and tailored solution delivery, always in partnership with the Global Relationship Managers.
• To help to grow revenues across allocated portfolio of ICG client’s and to successfully defend existing business in addition to originating new value-added revenue streams.
• To establish a holistic understanding of client’s needs and deliver innovative high value solutions across all product lines, gaining significant business and sustainable returns for the Group.
• Build the HSBC Corporate and Institutional Banking franchise value/reputation in the marketplace.
• Support the growth in HSBC’s share of client wallet leading thought leadership on existing and emerging trends in the marketplace, how these affect our clients and the Bank and potential solutions the Bank can deliver to address those; at all times, involving product specialists to ensure product capabilities are in line with client/sector requirements. 
• Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved.
• Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. 
• Undertake all required activities as directed by line manager or as agreed in annual objectives in support of the furtherment of the CIB business.
 

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Strong understanding of the institutional client business, alongside up-to-date insights on the evolving needs, business models and priorities of public sector clients.
• Ability and track record to form and maintain relationships at C-suite level, and ability to act as an impactful advisor at that level.
• Track record of engaging with senior stakeholders and taking lead in managing client relationships with focus on originating and driving cross-product discussions.
• Managed these clients’ segments in a coverage or product role or worked directly within such institutions.
• Strong analytical skills, with a strong emphasis on market and regulatory development impact on existing business models.
• Visible and motivational leadership, ability to influence others and work within a team setup.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a particular emphasis upon inspiring, influencing and negotiating in dealing with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to effectively plan and organize, with tenacity to drive through results and meet tight deadlines.
• Graduation degree is a MUST to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit.
• Under the New Labour Law, only fixed term contracts shall be available to all employees of HSBC UAE (except DIFC and ADGM employees) – hence in line with the term of work permit, a 4 years’ contract would be issued.
