We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Distribution Risk Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

The Distribution Risk Manager will support each of the Global WPB Channels (including Branch, Contact Centre, Third Party & Digital Channels) to remain within the Risk Appetite and to deliver good conduct outcomes for its customers, whilst delivering on the WPB strategy and priorities.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the organisation and facilitation of the Global WPB Distribution Risk Committee. Supporting content writing, minutes, issues and actions management and working/ liaising with key senior stakeholders and their teams for efficient closure of actions
  • Draft and review papers for global governance committees (for example Global WPB Risk Management Meeting, Global Retail Risk Oversight Committee, Global Fraud Steering Committee)
  • Provide guidance for markets & Global Channels stakeholders when managing risk issues & events
  • Ensure that Global WPB Group Customer Channels has robust processes in place to manage read across activity, including approval for when read across is required on specific issues & events, and supporting the end to end read across process
  • Collaborate with colleagues including Data & Analytics to manage the provision of MI reporting to support effective oversight of risks and issues within WPB Group Customer Channels
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Group and local markets to support the WPB complaint management agenda – to provide oversight of performance and associated remedial action plans to improve complaint handling performance
  • Drive analysis of performance and insights across customer touchpoints to improve servicing journeys, delivering improved customer experience and decreased levels of dissatisfaction
  • Support the Global WPB Distribution Risk agenda to manage adhoc projects
Requirements
  • Strong Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Managing stakeholders across all three lines of defence
  • Good understanding of HSBC’s risk management framework
  • Experience working in business risk & control management role
  • University qualification in a relevant business discipline e.g. Business, Finance, or Risk & Compliance
  • Experience working in customer facing roles is desirable
