As the Financial Analyst, you will serve as Finance partner for the Banking and Coverage.  Responsibilities may also include support to the other segments within Corporate International Banking (CIB) including business financial analysis to drive business performance and support management decision making. Works with senior management and finance partners to provide financial and technical analysis regarding business opportunities, current product lines, key performance indicators. Deliver presentations on analysis, trends, metrics and results. Consult with other departments to provide data and analysis. Partner with other business finance colleagues across other lines of business on relevant matters. 

As our Financial Analyst you will:

  • Provide critical analysis of the actual and forecasted financial position of CIB Banking and Coverage to support senior management decision making
  • Prepare materials for executive and management committee meetings including efforts to create efficiency across CIB business segment reporting
  • Work collaboratively across multiple teams and locations; Customers and stakeholders including Banking and Coverage Segment leads, US Wholesale Business Finance team, US Finance teams including Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Market Treasury and others, Global CIB Finance team in London, Mexico Finance team, and the Global Finance Offshore (GFOC) team in India 

 For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $103,300.00 and $155,000.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, statistics, business management, related field or equivalent experience (MBA preferred); Minimum of ten years proven financial and/or business analysis experience, or equivalent
  • Financial modeling / analysis experience (managing large amounts of data to understand complex issues and effectively translate findings into clear and concise concepts for peers and management)
  • Project management capabilities demonstrating strong collaboration and relationship building, systems and reporting knowledge (familiarity with File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Clearview, Table Manager 1 (TM1) global cubes, and Tableau preferred)
  • Demonstrated presentation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of CIB business and products preferred; Familiarity with US accounting rules, US regulations, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), US General Accepted Accounting Practice (GAAP), the US banking market, US economy and conditions
