IT Operations manages the IT infrastructure and supporting services that are critical for HSBC employees and customers, such as cost-efficient hardware, system software, middleware and databases, data centres, voice and data networks, ATMs, desktops and other devices. 

The area comprises five functions: Client Services, Enterprise Services and Architecture, Data Centre and Service Management, Relationship Management, Project Management and Risk and Administration. Collectively, these areas define and deliver HSBC’s technology strategy to support the Group’s goals.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Full Stack Engineer - Digital Business Services.

Principal Responsibilities

• Build a scalable and highly available DeltaOne and Synthetic trading platform across Asia Pacific
• Work closely with the front-office trading and product teams to ensure fast and accurate delivery of new functionality and improvements
• Liaise with local compliance, NFR and other risk/control teams to ensure full compliance with the letter and spirit of all relevant regulatory guidelines and requirements
• Maintain continuous communication with the wider global team: collaborative development

• Passionate advocate for technology, technological solutions and continuous improvement
• Motivation towards understanding further the Synthetic Trading business including the order lifecycle, locate, inventory management, FIX messaging and Asian markets
• Team player who could work in a complex global environment
• Fluent in written and spoken English and an excellent communicator
• Appreciation of agile software delivery practices and knowledge of DevOps
