The Financial Crime (FC) Function is a Second line of defence (LOD) function that includes "Risk Stewards" who are independent of the commercial risk-taking activities undertaken by the Group's businesses (also referred to as "the First LOD" or "FLOD"). The FC Function also operates a set of critical controls on behalf of the Group's businesses (FLOD) by harnessing intelligence, analytics, technology, detection and investigation. The Risk Stewards are responsible for reviewing and challenging all the activities of the the First LOD to ensure that, as "Risk Owners", they effectively manage the FC risk inherent in, or arising from, the conduct of their activities and for which they are responsible. FC risk is a non-financial risk that includes fraud, money laundering, bribery and corruption, sanctions violations, terrorist financing, proliferation financing, export control violations and tax evasion. The FC function operates in accordance with HSBC Group's Risk Management Framework (RMF).

What you’ll do
    • The Investigative Tooling Sub Value Stream ensures that essential systems and data are available to enable Investigations Value Stream to conduct effective and efficient investigations and analytics. The team is proactive and future-looking, shaping financial crime technology and promoting its adoption across FCR.
    • At a high-level, the QA Test Analyst role will have responsibility within an Agile Pod to support planning, development & testing of user stories and bugs (manually or via developing test automation).
    • The Test Analyst will be an integral part of an Investigative Tooling QA team which provides a QA function throughout development lifecycle and ahead of Production deployments.
    • The successful candidate will be expected to be self-motivated and proactive.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • Proven experience in an Agile QA/Test role and ability to translate business requirements into Test Scripts using BDD / Gherkin.
    • Proven experience in test automation development (Selenium, API testing etc.), work with developer tools and technologies like API, SQL, GIT, JAVA, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Browser DevTools.
    • Understanding of IT architecture based on microservices and APIs, of business processes and capability to communicate with the business community.
    • Exposure to UAT (Business test execution).
    • Flexible enough to assist in the delivery of work across several key functional areas including business analysis, production move execution and post-live support activities, on occasion.
    • Communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to articulate testing matters and test automation in the language of business. Good relationship management skills to satisfy a wide range of internal and external customers with conflicting priorities.
    • Find logical solutions to problems and manage to resolution.
    • Ability to prioritise work to successfully deliver service to agreed levels in a diverse and constantly.

What we offer

The pay range for this role is 15 775 PLN - 23 000PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
