Your career opportunity
The individual will be part of Group Finance Non- Financial Risk (‘NFR’) responsible for providing oversight and delivery of the NFR Framework and Governance for Finance across key sites and sub-Functions within Finance. The role’s critical success factors include attention to detail, data handling skills, ability to create quality Management Information (MI) under pressure as well as devise and implement efficient processes for key deliverables.
What you’ll do
- Manage the delivery of the Finance Risk and Control governance (e.g. RCMMs, or locally equivalent forums). Provide Quality Assurance and oversight on the governance reporting.
- Act as key point of contact with sites on reporting and bespoke MI. Adhoc reporting requirements (projects, one-off).
- Track the status of open issues/actions and audit points. Develop of proactive reporting solutions in line with the Op Risk Framework.
- Help improve data quality & consistency (e.g. data corrections made once, centrally).
- Support risk and control data capture in Helios (and related tools).
- Lead and manage the HCIB Krakow NFR team workload including task allocation.
- Support control owners, control officers and the Assurance team with issues & actions tracking and reporting. Data quality monitoring including defining and agreeing remedial actions.
- Lead on control activities such as Trigger Event and Read Across, including executing any governance requirements.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Experience working in an Operational Risk, Control Office or Audit Function, preferably in Finance.
- Ability to produce high quality MI from large datasets from multiple sources. Attention to detail, potentially acting as a reviewer for sensitive pieces of work. Ability to communicate financial issues confidently to management and other senior stakeholders both written and verbally.
- Supporting and embedding change initiatives, identifying and developing new or improved delivery mechanisms.
- Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
- Able to cope with pressure and tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and proactive approach to problem solving.
- Proven experience of working in Non-Financial Risk Management. (Desirable).
- Experience of using programming languages to manipulate data such as Python (Desirable).
