The Employee Compliance team aims to deliver a standardized global process and solution for managing the logging, tracking and approvals of outside activities, personal conflicts of interest with connected parties and any trade association, with improved data quality and visibility. The Employee Compliance team services all Lines of business and Global functions and is located both Manila, Philippines and Hyderabad, India.

The Employee Conduct Activities (ECA) has been divided into multiple sub-work streams. The Employee Compliance team currently handles four of these work streams namely Outside Activities (OA), Public and Private Tagging, Trade Association memberships, and Personal Conflicts of Interest – Connected Parties. Employee Compliance Breach Management is also being reviewed by the team.

The role will involve regular interaction with stakeholders in first and second line of defense.


The Opportunity:
  • The specific role of the Manager–Employee Compliance is to support the AVP Employee Compliance to deliver Employee Compliance activities and also manage the Employee Compliance breach management related activities. These activities will involve:
  • Providing guidance across different stakeholders on matters pertaining to Employee Conduct activities
  • Preparation of various papers which need to be presented to different risk forums providing a deep dive into all aspects of Conflicts of Interest from a Global and regional perspective
  • Working with team to provide analysis and reports on provided data
  • Assisting with development, launch and refinement of ECA tool globally


What you’ll do:
  • Providing guidance to stakeholders on matters pertaining to Employee Conduct activities
  • Lead a team of high performing individuals
  • Handle the Employee Conduct activities on a day to day basis which includes BAU activities and quality checks
  • Challenge the inputs on the ECA forms and provide guidance as required
  • To ensure delivery of comprehensive Management Information (MI)
  • To proactively identify and support in the management of significant new or emerging risks from an Employee Compliance perspective
  • Develop and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with stakeholders
  • Lead by example, demonstrating core behaviors and values including teamwork, focus, drive and determination
  • Support the continuing development, implementation and improvement of the processes, capabilities, capacity and infrastructure needed to effectively manage RC risks in a changing environment

Qualifications

What you will need to succeed in the role:
  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • Good understanding of various Employee Compliance policies like Conflict of Interest, Personal account dealing etc.
  • Demonstrable ability to clearly and concisely articulate risks, issues, and areas of escalation, and supporting recommendations with logic and reason through a range of media, including in written risk reports, email / memo style, and in verbal interactions
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills including presentation skills (PowerPoint/Excel/MS teams)
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work under-pressure and meet deadlines


What additional skills will be good to have?
  • Good understanding of operational risk management
  • Previous experience in handling very senior stakeholders and auditors in the organization
  • Excellent data analysis and presentation skills
