Markets & Securities Services (MSS) provides comprehensive global, regional and domestic fund services including Fund Administration, Global Custody, Sub-custody, Issuer Services and Trustee and Fiduciary Services to the international asset management industry.
Transaction Management is an integral part of MSS, which primarily undertakes capturing of trade transactions to the accounting platform under stringent timelines with high levels of accuracy thereby ensuring the highest quality of service is provided to the client.
The Opportunity:
Lead and manage a team’s performance relating to Transaction capturing of Alternative and Traditional fund portfolios as per PLA on timeliness & quality. Ensure high quality service to the business ensuring that risks are minimized and profit is maximized through effective management of costs/resources. Ensure that process and procedures are continually reviewed and improved and the changes are communicated and implemented effectively. The job also entails checking on internal audits and measures undertaken and regularly reviews them in order to maintain quality and productivity at the optimum level. Set a high standard of continuous staff motivation and leadership to ensure a good work environment.
What you’ll do:
- Take overall ownership of all client deliverables and be accountable for maintaining required standards of delivery quality
- Manage performance of assigned team and maintain effective succession plans across all teams under direct control
- Effectively drive and manage initiatives to improve management information / reporting to achieve business goals.
- Drive OOE/PA Performance in the site by providing Analysis of data, Identification of pain areas, Training, Coaching, and Initiation of process improvement projects aiming at achieving sustainable efficiencies.
- Facilitate proper usage of Production management tools. i.e.: ICATS/NPM, SD Static.
- Problem areas are proactively identified and resolved to attain high level of data accuracy and escalated where necessary.
- Appropriate measures are taken to prevent recurrence of known issues.
- Analyse CQI MI and implement measures to increase productivity (Capacity Utilization) through appropriate changes to the process/personnel, delivering cost benefits that support the continuous improvement of culture
- Interact with the Senior Management Team & MI representatives of the Business Services, gathering the relevant information and commentary around business performance.
- Improve the analytics support provided to the Individual businesses, providing tools for management to make better informed business decisions.
- Ensure that the Business Continuity plan is tested and learning points logged.
- Analyse reasons for Internal and external errors/customer complaints to observe trends and accordingly develop strategies that address root causes
- To maintain growth and achieve the business requirements of MSS ( Migration and Remigration Plans and Key Project milestones)
Qualifications
What you will need to succeed in the role:
- At least 18 months of relevant experience in MSS Transaction Management (E)
- Exposure to Icon Accounting Platform and TLM Reconciliation system (E)
- A bachelor’s degree or a professional qualification such as CIMA, CA, ACCA, CPA, etc. (D)
- Good knowledge in investment accounting, investment valuations, reconciliations, corporate actions (D)
- Strong MS Excel and MS WORD skills (D)
- Proficiency with MS Outlook and written communication skills (E)
- Should have an eye for detail and a strong analytical mind. (E)
- Efficient Time Management and ability to multi task work and priorities to meet defined deadlines (E)
- Efficient communication skills (E)
- Proactive in implementing solutions where required (E)
- Ability to build excellent rapport and working relationship with other departments and jurisdiction thus ensuring smooth operations. (E)
- Should have demonstrated behaviour in line with HSBC values throughout
