Payment Operations provide services for various payments products around the globe, with offshore presence in China, India and Poland. Krakow’s operations focus mainly on European Markets, with language dependencies. 
Team Manager – Payment Operations will be responsible for managing teams within Payments Business Service, providing support to Business stakeholders, local management and operations teams.


What you’ll do
    • Lead, motivate and manage the team locally and remotely, handling contingencies, learning & development, backup, succession & progression planning, and hiring management.
    • Ensure delivery service of processes as per the standards set out in KPI and operate in a well-defined control environment
    • Tight control on direct costs, identify & implement areas for process improvement / standardization / automation to achieve reengineering saves, support analysis and project rollouts. da
    • Contribute to strategic planning & decisions in Payments BS management meetings, assist senior management in strategic planning and decisions, set clear direction, objectives, performance targets and standards of behaviour aligned to HSBC’s strategy.
    • Effectively communicate organization strategy and goals. Ensure people are clear about what and how they need to deliver; Take prompt actions to resolve and address under performance
    • Provide input and recommendations to senior management on payment and development issues and enhancements
    • Effectively manage operational risk on the process and provide expertise to stakeholders, drives excellence, consistency, and quality across the team. 
    • Leads by example, demonstrating core behaviours and values including leadership, teamwork, navigation and advocacy, exhibit strong understanding of end-to-end process and communicate effectively with Global Businesses to seamlessly execute strategy


What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • Demonstrated team leadership qualities and proven track record of ability to manage diverse/multi-culture work environments with strong organization, time management and prioritization demand
    • Excellent communication skills, presentation skills and interpersonal skills, combined with strong courageous integrity to challenge, ask the right questions, be persistent, give and receive feedback positively, collaborate effectively within own team, outside team and with front office.
    • Orientation towards Quality (Six Sigma/Lean methodology) and Efficiency
    • Proven track of Business Partner stakeholder management
    • Ability to deal with people at all levels, including senior executives 
    • Very good understanding of Operational Risk framework, internal controls and audit

The pay range for this role is 9684 PLN - 12500 PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
